In recent times, the system that the NHS has used to determine whether people are placed in an NHS nursing home, or a private one has proven to be extremely inaccurate. This in turn means that some people may have been placed in paying private care, when in fact they could have been placed in NHS care. What I need to know is how much I can possibly claim back, does it depend on the length of care?
